Bronyville Extras: Tabletop Gaming Special

Hello Gang!
We have a special little episode lined up for you as your own little holiday present. A few months ago Chef and I played a game of The Savage World of My Little Pony. We recorded the whole gaming session so you could get a feeling of how the game played and experience the silliness which would entail playing a game with the two of us jokers. So enjoy some Bronyville Extra fun this holiday season! Oh – and expect a show this week and another extra on New Years Eve! Yay!

Very enjoyable, and it’s nice to see a return to the Savage World of MLP tabletop game brought up many episodes ago. Even better to go through a whole game of it!

Now I want to get involved in the game.

This makes up for the rather rushed episode of Bronyville this past week and then some. =) Yayyyyy!

It was a lot of fun running it for you two, you both need to get in on more games in the future, once this whole holiday/BroNYCon thing dies down.

Man that was kind of a let down; from the title I was expecting an MLP FIM Warhammer or 40k crossover, not something like D&D. Although it’s still pretty funny. An MLP FIM Warhammer or 40k crossover would be just about the most ironic and hilarious thing ever. In the dark future of the 41st millenium their is only PONIES.

For more than a hundred centuries Celestia has sat immobile on the golden throne of equestria. She is the master of ponykind by the will of the gods and the master of a million worlds by the might of her inexhaustable armies. She is a rotting carcass writhing invisibly with power from the dark age of technology. She is the carrion lord of the imperium for whom a thousand souls die every day, for whom blood is drunk and flesh eaten. Pony blood and pony flesh – the stuff of which the imperium is made.

To be a pony in such times is to be one amongst untold billions. It is to live in the cruellest and most bloody regime imaginable. This is the tale of those times. It is a universe you can live in today – if you dare – for this is a dark and terrible era where you will find little comfort or hope. If you want to take part in the adventure then prepare yourself now. Forget the power of technology, science and common ponymanity. Forget the promise of progress and understanding, for there is no peace amongst the stars, only an eternity of carnage and slaughter and the laughter of thirsting gods.

But the universe is a big place and, whatever happens, you will not be missed……

That was a lot of fun, and extras are always nice. Strange that although I have time to listen to every episode of a few podcasts I convince myself I don’t have the time to get into tabletop gaming. Oh well.

You don’t want to get into tabletop gaming. As soon as you do, you’ll find yourself getting more and more annoyed when you cant get a game going.

What is the video game-esque theme at the end of the podcast and where can I get it?

  7. This extra is what I would call quality fun

  8. D&D (basically) and MLP combined??!?! My two loves together (in harmony.)
I would love to play this.

What was the outro tune on this episode? It wasn’t listed in the shownotes.

I gotta say, I love these tabletop podcasts. I never noticed the BronyShow save for the occasional interview, but seeing the word “Tabletop” made me look into it further. Please make more of these!
