Quotes from the Fandom #8, “Poetry and Prose” Edition, August 1st, 2011

This week….. some nice poetry and prose

……………………………………………………………………………………….

“Therefore be ye also ready, for in such an hour as ye think not, the Alicorn of Darkness cometh.

The greatest prophecy of Equestria is not far from fulfillment. For Nightmare Moon herself shall descend from the Moon with a shout; with the voice of jealousy and the fury of vengeance. And the deadened Luna shall rise first, and those who are still alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the princess in the air, and so shall we always be with Celestia.”

-Gunthor the Perilous (Ponychan)

……………………………………………………………………………………

“Everything you plant will die.
The Seasons will pass you by.
All your plans will go awry

So, who’s afraid to live?
Not I.

Everypony you know will lie
Those you trust will make you cry
All hello’s end with goodbye

So, who’s afraid to love?
Not I.

And I’ll let this go,
Keep it to myself.
If no one knows, I’ll be fine.
But even so, it’s hard to walk that line

Liars look you in the eye.
You will fall before you fly
And no one here can tell you why.

So, who’s afraid to laugh?
Not I.

And I’ll let this go,
Keep it to myself.
If no one knows, I’ll be fine
But even so, it’s hard to walk that line

‘Cause everything you plant will die
Those you trust will make you cry
And no one here can tell you why

So, who’s afraid to live?
Not I

So, who’s afraid to live?
Not I.

So, who’s afraid to live?
Not I~~..”

  1. Fluttershy

I don’t always read poetry, but when I do, it’s about my little pony.

  2. I like “Therefore be ye also ready, for in such an hour as ye think not, the Alicorn of Darkness cometh.” btw I don’t knew how many knew this but the artist has cleverly worked Christian scripture in it.
specifically (Matthew 24:44 and 1 Thessalonians 4:16. great poem.
